Biography Farm-raised in rural Wisconsin, Dan Greene earned his BFA in Film Studies, Film Production and Screenwriting from the University of Minnesota—Twin Cities, where he graduated summa cum laude. Post-college, Dan worked as a Production Assistant for the Minneapolis-based commercial firm Media Loft, whose clients include BMW, DaimlerChrysler, and the Target Corporation. His next move was to accept a full-time Videographer position with cable network ShopNBC, allowing him the opportunity to practice his craft on a daily basis and work with such stars as Lesley Ann Warren (Desperate Housewives; Will & Grace). With the Hollywood bug firmly planted in his head, Dan loaded up his car and made the trek to Los Angeles in the summer of 2005, where he was quickly recruited by Transcendental Media, a fast-growing, independent film production company. With Transcendental Media, Dan achieved triple-billing as Gaffer, Boom Operator, and Associate Producer on the indie feature Change Your Life!, and served as an Editor and Production Coordinator for Transcendental Media, as well as heading up their Graphics & Animation department, for two years. Most recently, Dan has returned to the freelance world, in order to focus more attention on his own projects and work with longtime friend and collaborator Elijah Drenner, founder of END Films, a production company specializing in added-value content (bonus features) for the DVD market. As END Films' primary Videographer, Co-Editor, Animator, Graphic Designer and Webmaster, Dan has his hands full with a slew of projects in 2008, including bonus content for new DVD releases of classic exploitation titles like Bonnie's Kids, Centerfold Girls, Linda Lovelace for President, A Woman for All Men, Games Girls Play (a.k.a. The Bunny Caper) and many more. In addition to the full slate of DVD extras, END Films' first feature-length documentary, American Grindhouse, is scheduled to premiere in 2008. Dan also makes his feature directing debut later this year with the independent thriller Identifying Marks, which he also wrote. He is looking forward to never sleeping again. |
